Peace Lily Path offers a variety of counseling services including individual therapy, couples therapy, family therapy, and group therapy.
You are welcome to book online through Jane App, where you can see schedules for both Alison and Faye. If you have a specific question before booking, you are welcome to reach out to our general email address at hello@peacelilypath.ca or call / text 902-500-4920 and we can answer any questions before you book a session.
We also offer a free 15 minute consultation that can be done over the phone or virtual before you book an appointment. This is a good opportunity to ask any questions you might have before booking an appointment.
During your first session with Peace Lily Path, your therapist will ask you questions to get to know you better and understand what brings you to counseling. You will also have the opportunity to ask any questions you may have about the counseling process.
A counseling session with Peace Lily Path typically lasts for 50 minutes, although session length may vary depending on your specific needs and preferences.
We are able to direct bill to BlueCross and TELUS Health. TELUS Health includes insurance companies such as Canada Life and Manulife. There are certain insurance companies under the TELUS Health banner that do require you to submit yourself. Therapy with a Registered Social Worker or a Registered Counselling Therapist is typically billable to most insurance companies, however we do ask that you verify with your specific insurance company to ensure your insurance plan does cover the cost. Insurance coverage can vary between plans and provinces, so we recommend confirming details directly with your insurance provider. If your plan includes a co-payment, you’ll be responsible for paying that portion during your session. In cases where your plan doesn’t support direct billing, we’ll provide a detailed receipt for you to submit your claim manually.

We can accept payment by debit, credit, or e-transfer at the time of your session. You can also pay online through your account on Jane App.
You will not be able to cancel your appointment online if there is less than 24 hours before your session. Please reach out to your individual practitioner to let them know you will be canceling the session. If it’s the first session you can email hello@peacelilypath.ca or call / text 1-902-500-4920 to cancel or reschedule. Cancellations within 24 hours of the session will be charged a fee of 50% of the cost of the session. We do understand that emergencies, accidents and illness do not give much notice so please reach out and we will do our best to support you if a later cancellation is needed, on a case-by-case basis.
Snow days in the Strait Regional Centre for Education will not be charged a cancellation fee.
We take your privacy very seriously. All personal information shared within therapy sessions is kept confidential, except in specific legal situations, such as:

While we can provide a wide range of therapeutic services, we cannot provide formal assessments or diagnosis for mental health conditions (including ADHD, anxiety, depression, learning disabilities, and autism). We also cannot offer psychoeducational assessments. Diagnosis for mental health conditions need to be made by a psychologist, psychiatrist or medical doctor. We are happy to share local recommendations for these services and discuss more about this.
